Basically, you book your airfare and hotel through them and they give you a free gift card for doing so. I think they primarily issue Amazon gift cards but I didn’t go far enough through the booking to test that part. From what I have read you may have some options in what gift card you get. They seem to cater to the business traveler in their ads but I did some research and here’s what I found:
First off you can save money. Secondly this week I heard my favorite show give out a free promo code that increases your gift card. That code is HERD which guarantees you a $200 gift card.
The search feature can be frustrating in some ways. I prefer to be wide open on my hotel choices, where the site makes you choose a star level of hotel. You can go back and change hotel rating if you need to for different pricing. The flight selection can be limited as far as options and you can select different time options to try and get the program to choose different flights.
I find the most value being in a short trip where you don’t anticipate any delay issues. I prefer booking direct through airline for more options. That being said I ran through some different options and discovered big savings for a short trip to Vegas.
If booking without the promo code I found airfare and 1 night stay in Las Vegas for $265 with a $75 gift card. It showed the flight at $166 and the hotel at $124 which is $290. It shows that taxes are included and it waves a $35 fee. Net price of a one night stay is $190 so almost getting the hotel for free.
When using the promo code, you get the $200 gift card making the net trip$65. That’s a steal of a deal.
On as side note the flights are the same as if you booked the flight direct and I found the hotel prices to be way cheaper than booking direct on same dates.
That would make me use them at least once.
