It's the most unique trip I have ever had to Vegas. I think in the most part, because you are there to watch and bet on basketball so you just don't have the time to do all the Vegas usual stuff, unless you want to go around the clock. I'm getting older and was just fine with a relaxing trip. It didn't help that I was coming off a cold so I did keep the drinking to a minimum. I must admit, just watching basketball in a dark theatre..um, it takes its toll on you, who knew?
I had my room comped at Bally's so that was a huge savings. Since I had it comped through Sunday, I didn't have to worry about a late checkout and not having a room up until our flight. it was a good way to do it. I am not a fan of checking out at 11am and not flying out until 855 Pm like we did.
Arriving Wednesday gave us time to get our feet wet, relax, and most importantly, get in our bets! I would highly recommend getting in your bets on Wednesday night! The betting lines on a game day during the games can run an hour. So why miss the games when you can bet the night before. In addition on game nights the books are usually open til 1130 PM so you can get bets in on Thursday night for Friday. It worked out well for us.
I would do this trip again in a heartbeat. It was fun, exciting, and nothing like a thousand people screaming down the stretch of a close game. All because of either it's their team, but mostly I think because the point spread is 5 and they are up 4 with under a minute to go!
I will post two reviews. We visited the LVH (formerly The Hilton) viewing party which was free and we went to the Cosmo party which was $50 for unlimited cocktails and beer.
