I’ve been thinking I need to use them soon, but really need to get to 25,000 to be able to use them. Odds of finding a 7,5000 mile ticket each way are probably slim, but hoping at 12,500 each way I can find something.
But how do I make up that many miles on an airline I don’t fly? Low and behold into my inbox came an offer through RocketMiles. I know about RocketMiles. Basically you book through them and earn air miles (several airlines available). Normally I don’t do much booking through third party sites, but they are offering 4,000 bonus miles. Add that to what you will get for booking the hotel which is at least 1,000 and as can avg 4000-5000 per booking.
All of a sudden I will not only be at 25,000 but could be close to 30,000 miles. There are a couple catches. The offer states your first RocketMiles booking but I notice it appears it has to be a new account. For example, I signed one for one a while ago and it won’t except that email for me. I have never booked with them so it would be my first but it won’t let me use my current account. So I’ll have to create a new account with a different email. Also you have until August 15th, but I figure I can suck it up and book something for a trip I might have done anyway.
If you didn’t get the same email you might have to do some digging for a link. I can assume there must be the link required but perhaps not. Maybe worth an email to AA Advantage to see.
